Why is my Xiaomi robot vacuum not dispensing water onto the mops?

If your Xiaomi robot vacuum is not dispensing water onto the mops, the issue can usually be resolved by following the steps below.

Important
Only use clear, fresh tap water. Do not use any cleaning or disinfecting agents - not even diluted. These can clog the lines, damage the pump and permanently block the water flow.

Step-by-step troubleshooting

1
Check the fresh water tank
Fill the tank completely, remove it and reinsert correctly until it clicks into place
2
Clean water outlet and lines
Gently clean openings with a soft brush and check for limescale or blockages
3
Clean or replace mops
Clean mops, let them dry fully and reattach securely – replace if visibly worn
4
Remove air from the water system
Clean pump inlet, briefly tilt the device slightly and run a test cycle to release trapped air
5
Check app settings
Mopping mode enabled (not "vacuum only") · Water level set correctly · Restart device · Install firmware updates
6
Check cleaning station (if applicable)
Station water tank correctly inserted and filled · Check seals for damage · Clean contacts and station

Still no water?

If none of the steps above have resolved the issue, there may be a hardware defect:

Possible causes Defective water pump · Permanently blocked water line · Station defect

In this case, we recommend requesting a service inspection.
