What does the warranty cover?

The warranty is always tied to the place of purchase. We only handle devices bought directly from us: in the online shop or in the former Mi Flagship Store. If you bought from another retailer or abroad, that seller is responsible.

The warranty covers all defects that occur during the warranty period, unless they were caused by careless handling. The examples below are for guidance only. Whether a defect is actually covered is only decided by the service centre during the inspection.

5. Photo or video For visible defects or unusual noises, a recording helps with the assessment.

Send us these details. Once we have everything, we will start the warranty review and get back to you with the shipping information.

Frequently asked

How long is the warranty?
You can find the warranty period for each product category in our warranty guidelines. It starts on the purchase date shown on your proof of purchase.

My battery does not last as long as it used to. Is that a warranty case?
A gradual loss of capacity over time is normal wear. If the battery no longer charges at all or suddenly loses a lot of performance, we are happy to check it.

I bought the device from another retailer.
Then the retailer you bought from is responsible. For purchases abroad, it is the Xiaomi support of the country of purchase: mi.com/global/support/contact

I bought in the Mi Flagship Store. Is the warranty still valid?
Yes. The store has closed, but the warranty for purchases made there remains valid. Everything is handled by post.

Will I get a replacement device during the repair?
No. We do not provide replacement devices while the warranty case is being processed.

Will the data on my device be kept?
This cannot be guaranteed. Back up your data before sending the device and remove accounts and pairings where possible. Please do not delete a scooter from the Xiaomi Home app, though.
