Your Xiaomi scooter has a number in three different places. Only one of them is the official serial number (SN): the number on the side edge of the deck. Its format is 54321/BFAC1234567.

No. For devices bought abroad, the Xiaomi support of the country of purchase is responsible: mi.com/global/support/contact. This also applies if you now live in Switzerland.
What do I need the serial number for?
Mainly for a warranty case and when the scooter needs to be unbound. The serial number lets us clearly identify your device.
Is the serial number the same as the DID number?
No. The DID number appears in the error code when you try to pair the scooter. Its format is blt.3.135ofxxxxxxxxxxxx or 1XX24XX6X. The serial number is only on the deck.
Is the number on the tyre or handlebar enough?
No. These numbers only identify individual parts. They only help us if the serial number on the deck can no longer be read.
Is the serial number also on the packaging?
Often yes, on the label of the original box. It is a good idea to keep the packaging.
